Bali Magic Tour
The first time we will visit the Hall of Justice (Kerta Gosa), located in the center of Klungkung town in front of the Klungkung Puputan Memorial. It is built in 1710 by Dewa Agung the King of Klungkung. The ceiling of the hall is completely covered inside with fine painting Kamasan Style. The story of the painting is The Epic of life Balinese Journey of the soul. In the midle-built Bale Kambang (Floating Hall), the ceiling is full of Kamasan Painting. In the west of the hall, there is Museum Semarajaya collected photos of the King and family in Balinese dress.
The second point visits is the Bukit Jambul, the Bukit Jambul is a hill located the north of Klungkung, which will take about 30 minutes to drive after we visited Court Justice, it is part of Karangasem Regency. The view of the coast is very beautiful, overlooking the black sand beach and the small island of Nusa Penida and surrounded by clove plantations and rice terraces.
Third point stop at Besakih Mother Temple, located on the slope of Mount Agung about 1000 meters above sea level. This is the first temple built in Bali or well known as Mother Temple built by the Javanese priest Sri Danghyang Dwijendra who traveled to Bali in the 8th century. Besakih Temple has a big complex of temples including the family temple added by another Javanese priest Danghyang Nirartha in the 16th century. The main temple courtyard is Penataran Agung has a triple throne called Padmasana Tiga with separate seats of the trinity gods Brahma, Wisnu, and Siwa.
Fourth stop at Bats Cave Temple (Goa Lawah Temple), the temple located in Pesingahan Village, Klungkung regency. The temple was built in the 11th century by priest Mpu Kuturan or Mpu Rajakerta, this priest who created 4 concepts of the temple in Bali. This is one important temple located near the ocean, especially use for the Nyegara Gunung ceremony (Nyegara means Ocean, and Gunung mean Mountain). The Balinese people use Goa Lawah Temple as the ocean temple and Besakih Temple as the mountain temple. The cave in the cliff is dominated by thousand of bats.
The fifth stop at Tengenan Village, the village is occupied by Bali Aga people the original Balinese who arrive in Bali Bali before Majapahit’s arrival. Pandan war (Ngusaba Sambah Festival), will be held around May or June, and Double ikat or Gringsing cloth is well known in this village.
Sixth stop at Candi Dasa Beach, a tourist resort built in east Bali with some hotels and restaurants. The beach is quiet and small boats lay along the coast. A little bit inside Gili Tepekong Island is good to do snorkeling, should rent a boat to go to this island. It offers the chance to see a lot of coral fish. East part there is Candidasa Lagoon and Candidasa Temple, the temple located hillside across from the lagoon.
