It is floating on Alas Trait, which is a small strait between Sumbawa and Lombok Island. If you want to reach the small island, you have to use a boat from PadakJuar port, which is located about 2.5-hour drive from the capital city of Mataram. If you have reached the small port, you can try to find a public boat ferry that will travel directly to Kondo Island. From the port, you just need about 15 minutes and you will be able to put your feet on Kondo’s beach.
One thing you have to remember when you want to go to a small private Kondo Island is that you have to plan every single thing in detail. It is because the tourist facilities on the island are not as good as other Gilis. In Kondo Island, there is only one resort that you can use at night. That is why, if you are planning to stay on the island. You need to book ahead. However, there is also another option you can use, which is camping outdoors. But, there is no outdoor gear rental here, so you need to bring your own camping equipment, including water and food. Entering this island is free, so you do not need to bring a lot of cash.
